A table gives a list of ProCoS-WG partners with the name of the main contact person(s) at each site. ProCoS II project sites (Oxford University, Technical University of Denmark, Universität Oldenburg and Universität Kiel) have each been allocated special responsibility for a number of sites mainly allocated by geographical proximity where possible.
Since ProCoS-WG is closely associated with the ProCoS II project [5] most meetings are held in association with meetings of this project where possible. An integral part of the project's research plan [24] was the formation of this Working Group of potential collaborators and industrial partners; and the organisation of newsletters, distribution lists, seminars, conferences and a major open meeting at which the directions of research can be discussed and the results can be disseminated. We have held and plan to hold the following meetings:
A number of Working Group partners attended the September 1993 Technical Meeting organised by the University of Oldenburg. The Working Group was officially formed on 1 January 1994 and attendees at this meeting participated at their own expense. Attendance at all subsequent meetings is funded by the Working Group at levels depending on the status of the participant.
Nearly all the Working Group partners were represented at the Gentofte meeting, the first official ProCoS-WG workshop. Short presentations were given by all represented Working Group sites and many longer more technical presentations were also given, as well as an introduction to the work of the ProCoS II project.
The next two ProCoS-WG meetings are open events which are covered in more detail in another section.
